Courtesy Notice – Foreclosed, Vacant and Unimproved Property Registration

As you may be aware, the City of Lake Worth Beach adopted a Foreclosed, Vacant and Unimproved Property Registration Program more than 10 years ago, which was formerly administered by ProChamps.  Following the closing of ProChamps and its services, the City decided to administer and manage the required registration of foreclosed, vacant and unimproved properties in house.  Based on a prior registration or the fact that a property currently is vacant, is unimproved or has no active utility account, this notice is being sent to inform the property owner that their property needs to be registered with the City.

This is a Courtesy Notice, not a formal Notice of Violation. This Courtesy Notice provides property owners ninety (90) days from the date of mailing to register the above referenced property with the City.  Registration may be initiated by completing the enclosed form and returning it in the self-addressed envelope, visiting the 1900 Second Avenue North, Lake Worth Beach, Florida 33461 or going to the City’s website at this link https://lakeworthbeachfl.gov/planning-and-zoning/vacant-property-registry and filling out the required form.

If the property is not registered within the aforementioned initial ninety (90) days, a subsequent formal Notice of Violation and Notice of Hearing will be sent to the property owner of record.  If there is a question as to whether or not the property should be registered or if this notice was sent in error, please contact [email protected] or call 561-530-1832.

Should you have questions or require further information, please email [email protected].

Thank you for your cooperation with this request for registering foreclosed, vacant and unimproved properties in Lake Worth Beach.

Sincerely,

William Waters, Director
Department of Community Sustainability
